The planned workshop is aimed at Afghan women and creates a safe, appreciative space for creative expression, exchange, and personal processing.

The workshop will be led by artist Maren Amini together with her father Ahmadjan Amini, who will teach the participants his unique artistic approach. The focus is not on technical perfection, but on the individual expression of feelings, memories, and experiences. Through guided creative exercises, the women are given the opportunity to reflect on their own life journeys and make them visible through art. Art serves as a language beyond words and language barriers. Many participants have had little opportunity to share their stories publicly or creatively, which is why the workshop focuses on this. Particular emphasis is placed on creating a safe space where trust, mutual respect, and solidarity are paramount. The artistic work is sensitively accompanied and supplemented by discussions so that creative processes and emotional processing can go hand in hand. The workshop strengthens the participants' self-confidence, promotes self-efficacy, and makes their perspectives visible. The resulting works form the basis for a later presentation and help to make the voices of Afghan women heard and seen in society.

For 25 years, zan e. V. has been working to empower Afghan women in Germany, raise their profile, and promote their participation in society. The project partners are artists Maren Amini and Ahmadjan Amini, who bring their artistic expertise to the workshop and support the participants in their creative work.
