During the winter semester of 25/26, students from various universities in the RheinMain area explored the issue of public spaces.
In seminars, public spaces were observed and examined for specific qualities and presented: How and where are flea markets organised, what spaces are available to people of the Muslim faith, what do associations offer, how can initiatives and associations, or civil actors in general, contribute to the cooperative urban development of semi-public spaces? What are the needs, and where do spaces offer suitable opportunities? Where are there vacant properties, which places are accepted and which are not? The results of these exemplary studies in various cities in the Rhine-Main region have been turned into an exhibition, which is being shown at WerkRaum Wiesbaden in collaboration with the BDA Hessen.
