mitWirkung – Partizipation durch Gestaltung – öffentliche Versteigerung

As part of the cooperative project “mitWirkung – Participation through Design,” the Kulturforum Hanau, the Society of Goldsmithing, the Deutsches Goldschmiedehaus, and the Staatliche Zeichenakademie Hanau invite the public to an auction of 40 unique pieces of jewelry, objects, and accessories.

The works were created by students of the Zeichenakademie using gemstones and materials from the estate of jewelry artist Ebbe Weiss-Weingart, given to them as a symbolic inheritance. In an intensive process, the materials were transformed into individual, contemporary designs addressing heritage, responsibility, participation, and the future.

The auction passes these pieces on as a living inheritance, consciously shaped and carried into the future by a new generation. The event is accompanied by a photo exhibition by Kathrin Berger, documenting the entire creative process.

Proceeds will support future projects of the Zeichenakademie and directly benefit the students and their training. Everyone is warmly invited to experience the works and help keep cultural heritage alive through their bids.
