Kolloquium Soziale Nachhaltigkeit

The colloquium is dedicated to the challenge of firmly anchoring social sustainability in the public consciousness. Civil society plays a fundamental role in this process in a democratic sense. According to our approach, social sustainability means that the behaviour of a community and its members has a positive impact – and at the same time encourages other individuals and groups to behave in a similarly positive manner. The call for mindfulness applies not only to people, but also to nature, for example, which is an essential part of our lives.

The topics for the three-day symposium are currently being compiled. The main themes are:

Day 1

• Social sustainability. Stability in social change
• Time horizon of transformation
• Drivers of social change: civil society + urbanity

Day 2

• Democratic values: ethics of everyday culture
• Social cohesion. Values. Common goals, collaborative action
• Civil society + transformation community

Day 3

• Design: catalyst for community building
• Socioculture. Design medium of social design / civic design
• Civic design / identity lab: visual identity of civil society
