The workshop “Kol ha-Ot – Type as a Resonating Body” invites participants to re-examine liturgy as a living linguistic space. Between tradition and the present, participants explore how Hebrew shapes identity, power and belonging – and how typographical experiments, such as those using Michal Schumer’s alphabet, open up new perspectives on gender-inclusive language.

Through shared practice, it becomes clear how words and typefaces can alter resonance, open up dialogue and build bridges in a multilingual society. The workshop views writing as a shaping of reality – as an opportunity to make differences visible and to retell shared narratives.

With the theologian and rabbi-in-training Helene Braun and the political educator Maya Roisman.
