As part of the project Auf die PLÄTZE los the second children's festival will take place under the motto 'Fun and Movement on the Lehrplatz.' Children, families, and neighbors are warmly invited to celebrate together and experience the Lehrplatz in a new way.
The focus of the children's festival is on play, meeting others, and the active participation of children. With various hands-on activities, the festival invites everyone to experience the Lehrplatz in a different way: as a public space for playing, exchanging ideas and creating together. Children need spaces where they can move, meet each other, and actively explore their environment. The Lehrplatz offers a wonderful opportunity to show how lively a public space can become when children and families use it together.
The Lehrplatz festival is organized by the School Social Work Department for Children at the Anton-Gruner School in cooperation with the Kunstwerker.
The 'Auf die PLÄTZE los' project from the Office for Social Work works with many actions and events to make public spaces child-friendly, livable, and communal. Children are actively involved in planning on-site and can make their perspectives and ideas visible.
The school social work service for children is a youth welfare program provided by the Wiesbaden Department of Social Work and is currently active at 17 primary schools.
Working in close cooperation with the primary schools and other partners, the service offers early support and assistance to children and their families. The aim is to improve the children's learning and living conditions and to address exclusion and disadvantage.
