HÉROINE
We are initiating and supervising a poster campaign in Frankfurt. Feminist perspectives will be presented in public spaces that are otherwise dominated by commercial and political messages. The design collective Turbo Type and the artists' collective HÉROINE are collaborating on the design of a poster for this campaign.
Passersby will be encouraged to reflect on their surroundings and social dimensions. The campaign culminates in an exhibition where a high-quality version of the posters is shown and sold as an edition using the risography process. This enables the works to be disseminated and archived. The edition is produced by Riso Club Leipzig.
The project thrives on the collaborative work of the tandems and the open reception by the public.
Planned schedule:
- Development of the poster. The office in the HÉROINE Gallery will serve as the workspace (April and May).
- Poster campaigns (mid-May).
- Final exhibition with presentation and sale of the editions (opening on June 5, 7–10 p.m., duration June 6–28, 2026).
HÉROINE is a collective and a project space focusing on raising awareness of female perspectives. Through discursive formats, HÉROINE creates spaces for collaborative solidarity.
Turbo Type is a self-organized printing and design collective for experimental typography and analog printing processes.
Riso Club Leipzig is an open workshop for risography. The space serves as a place for production, knowledge exchange, and experimental forms of publication such as zines and posters.
