People all over the world can now connect with a single click. Yet control over the digital network lies in the hands of a select few. And increasingly, systems are making decisions before a human is even consulted.
The echo:tech workshop, poses the question: What opportunities do technologies open up for democracy? Which decision would you like to hand over to an algorithm in the future? And if AI suddenly wants to have its say, how will we respond? Guided by questions like these, we’ll work together to sketch out possible future scenarios.
The echo:us workshop series is dedicated to the collaborative development of democratic future scenarios. Would you like to explore the future too? You don’t need any prior knowledge to take part.
