Design meets urban mobility. From 5 to 11 June, the Open – Design Week Frankfurt RheinMain presents the limited Brompton Special Edition of the new lightweight P Line at Massif Central, developed through an international open call
One of the highlights of the Open – Design Week Frankfurt RheinMain is the presentation of the WDC x Brompton Special Edition at Massif Central from 5 to 11 June. The project originated from an international open call inviting artists and designers to reinterpret the lightweight P Line of the iconic London folding bike manufacturer Brompton through new colour concepts, graphics and design approaches.
First prize went to Swedish designer Andreas Samuelsson, known for his reduced and graphic visual language and collaborations with international brands such as Apple, Nike, Volvo and Aesop. Second place went to Juliane Borths, better known under her artist name “Idrawonbikes”. Third place was awarded to Tatiana Tverdokhlebova.
One of the limited special edition bikes will be raffled off starting on 5 June. With a bit of luck, visitors will have the chance to ride this unique bicycle themselves. Starting Friday, 05 June, you can enter the raffle here: https://de.brompton.com/wdc2026
Since the 1970s, Brompton has been developing folding bicycles for urban everyday life. Production still takes place in London today. Characteristic is the compact three-part folding mechanism, which makes the bikes especially flexible for city travel and combining cycling with public transport.
Brompton creates urban freedom for happier lives.
50 years ago the founder, Andrew Ritchie, envisioned an innovative Bike of the future that would make moving around the city healthier, more convenient, and more fun. Today, over a million Brompton owners agree: riding a Brompton is good for your body and mind - and good for the planet too. But that’s only part of the equation.
A responsible company is more than the product it sells - the culture, the sustainability policies, and who it does business with are equally important.
