When transitioning from a linear to a circular economic logic, it is crucial to keep the raw materials and materials used in our products entirely within technical and biological cycles. In recent years, a new generation of biomaterials has emerged that meets high technical requirements but can also serve as nutrients for nature at the end of their life cycle.

Whether it's tree bark for shoes or jackets, algae-based foams for upholstered furniture, or compressed kraft paper for seat shells or electronic components: a new generation of biomaterials is currently poised to enter the market, offering designers across all industries new opportunities for innovation and unlocking highly interesting circular business models.
