Bockenheim außer Haus

Do you want to play an active role in shaping your neighborhood? As part of WDC 2026, the neighborhood initiative Bockenheim außer Haus cordially invites other initiatives, open groups, and dedicated individuals to plan and build urban furniture together–creating more space for interaction, relaxation, and vibrant life in Frankfurt's public spaces. No prior craft skills are necessary–your ideas, curiosity, and the joy of working together are all you need. The building process is professionally guided, collaborative, creative, and open to all generations.

During our two construction workshops, we will create customized 'Fries-solutions' for two districts, which we agreed upon during the planning workshop. Furthermore, we are here to share our knowledge—both as a neighborhood initiative with experience in public spaces and through hands-on practice with drills, saws, and planes. Every helping hand is welcome! An of course, there will be fries!
