Engelmann Gerules Riechardt GbR
...
An exhibition celebrating the small kiosks, the stories shared at the counter, and these places as meeting points for the neighbourhood — a space to explore, participate and exchange ideas. The event is part of Wasserhäusje-Tag, taking place across Frankfurt.
The exhibition brings together contributions from the fields of architecture, film, history, urban design, sociology, art, and public space design. These works are the outcome of three workshops held over the summer, during which participants explored Frankfurt’s Wasserhäuschen, their operators and users, their histories, and their urban context.
The contributions range from dice games and short texts to drawings, photographs, and even knitted sweaters. You are warmly invited to interact with the works and put together your own “mixed bag” of contributions to take through the exhibition.
The main exhibition is located at the water kiosk on Ernst-May-Platz in Bornheim. In addition, mobile displays featuring the mixed bag and postcards can be found at the Kölner Eck and Gusti water kiosks, as well as at the WDC Hub at the Museum Angewandte Kunst, Frankfurt.
