Ausstellung: Stadtgarten Wiesbaden – Urban Gardening

Within the WerkRaum program in May on the theme of community, the project “Stadtgarten Wiesbaden – Urban Gardening” is being presented.

The development of a green, inner-city refuge with an intercultural garden enhances the centre of Wiesbaden and creates new living spaces in previously unused “non-places.” The StadtGarten offers calm and relaxation from the fast-paced everyday life in a natural environment, while also being more than just a meeting point: it is a place of collective activity and productivity. As a growing, low-threshold project, the StadtGarten brings together people of different cultures and generations. Families, members, and volunteers come together here to engage in activities such as gardening, beekeeping, cultural festivals, readings, and theatre performances, as well as around the shared greenhouse table.

In this way, a central space for collective, accessible action is created—promoting sustainable ways of living, reducing CO₂ emissions, and supporting the long-term coming together of diverse cultures.

The team consists of the architects from 3deluxe. The project originated from their own initiative, with the aim of contributing positively to the development of downtown Wiesbaden.
