Aktionstag – Design for Democracy

How and where do we want to live together? The Hugenottenhalle will be transformed into a ‘third place’, a cultural and educational centre, the city's living room.

Rooms are to be used communally and inclusively. As part of World Design Capital 2026, with the motto ‘Design for Democracy’, visitors will be encouraged to get creative and design themselves: at several stations, they can use planning software to design houses and rooms or invent new worlds in a Lego construction site. The day ends with the play ‘Franziska Linkerhand’. Admission is free.

Organisers are the departments of Culture, the Culture and Education Centre, and Urban Revitalisation of the City of Neu-Isenburg. As part of their public cultural and educational mission, they organise theatre, concerts, lectures, exhibitions, festivals and parties, as well as research and educational activities in the museums.
