#anfangen – WDC Spotlight
The WDC Spotlight – #anfangen (getstarted) brings the region’s design potential to life by putting the spotlight, in monthly video episodes, on individual designers, institutions, and their successful projects within the WDC programme, aligned with the key WDC themes. The campaign positions the Frankfurt RheinMain region as a model for democratic design: open, participatory, and future-focused. Episodes will be published across the WDC 2026 channels.
But that’s not all: with #anfangen, we are also launching a social media campaign that turns democracy into an active, participatory experience for everyone in the region – during WDC 2026 and beyond. The campaign invites citizens, institutions, businesses, and creatives to join the movement through visibility, statements, and engagement, designing a future worth experiencing – together.
Why #anfangen?
World Design Capital 2026 is a year full of events and an invitation to take action. #anfangen means: don’t wait, don’t watch – get going. It’s about making your own ideas, initiatives, or engagement visible, sharing inspiration, and motivating others to join.
