This year’s Munich Creative Business Week is held under the motto: How to design a vibrant community. WDC 2026 will be taking part with a diverse programme – both at the MCBW’s opening event, DIVE’25, and throughout the rest of the week.
Keynotes and Panel Discussion
In the lead-up to the World Design Policy Conference of WDC 2026, this panel explores the crucial distinction between Design Policies – political frameworks that support design – and Designing Policy – the application of design methods to shape political processes. The panel offers a well-grounded introduction to the dynamic tension between political regulation and creative practice – a vital debate for the future of democratic societies.
With: Sven T. Siefken, Anna Whicher, Regina Hanke
Moderation: Felix Kosok (WDC 2026)
Workshop: Rethinking Design Policy – Shaping the Future
Following the panel, this interactive workshop provides an opportunity to delve deeper into existing design policies together with Sven T. Siefken and Anna Whicher. Through collaborative working sessions, participants will analyse current frameworks, identify areas for action and develop concrete proposals for strategic advancement towards 2026.
