The application for the title of World Design Capital^® is based on an initiative by the Werkbundakademie Darmstadt. Between 2014 and 2020, it brought together people who have shaped the project ever since. As a contractual partner of the WDO, Design FRM gGmbH is now responsible for the implementation of the project.
