Moving out of the family home, starting a family, separation, retirement, and the need for long-term care represent major life transitions for which the housing market rarely offers suitable options.
Rising rents, housing shortages, and social inequality result in people living in conditions that do not match their current life situations. The exhibition sheds light on these challenges and demonstrates how policymakers, urban planners, and society can respond to them.
This event series is a collaboration between the vhs (Adult Education Center), the Frankfurt Housing Department, the Frankfurt Network for Cooperative Housing, and World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026.
The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00.
