Superkräfte für die Demokratie

Democracy is often taken for granted, but it cannot exist without continuous support. Understanding political processes and practicing democratic exchange are essential prerequisites for a vibrant society. Democracy depends on participation and must constantly be strengthened and defended.

The project “Discover Your Superpowers for Democracy” addresses this through a structured workshop format:

1. Collecting superpowers
2. Appreciative interview about “heroic deeds”
3. Designing a catastrophe that threatens democracy
4. Developing solutions
5. Feedback session

Each workshop lasts two hours and can accommodate up to 30 participants. Several workshops can be held in the DemokratieWagen on a single day.

The project is initiated by the non-profit association “mehr als wählen e.V.”. Partners include the Office for Citizen Participation of the City of Frankfurt and the Protestant Academy. Through the Office for Citizen Participation, the project also engages directly with the school authority and, via this channel, with Frankfurt schools.
