studio formagora

studio formagora is a collective at the intersection of design, craftsmanship and art. Their focus is on designing experiential spaces in public areas. They work in a pluralistic and collaborative manner. They deliberately push boundaries and explore the dividing lines between art and craftsmanship, the individual and the collective, subject and object.

In an accelerating, transforming world, their work seeks to capture the processual. Not as an answer, but as an invitation to dialogue.

Their projects include a diverse selection of participatory, collaborative and social design projects that exemplify their working methods: from the Summer School at the UmBauLabor in Gelsenkirchen to the design of the square at the Saalbau Witten and thematic design laboratories on beliefs and beauty in Münster. studio formagora has realised, for example, nesting box initiatives together with NABU Münsterland, chair-building workshops using used materials, participatory street furniture for urban spaces and interior design for collectives, initiatives and associations. In their participatory formats, they try to connect different actors productively with each other, such as municipal and civil actors or educational institutions.

In the WDC programme, studio formagora is designing the WDC Hub at the Museum of Applied Arts. They are also contributing two projects, Co-designing GündiWest and Co-Designing AdaKantine.
