Barcodes, with their black and white lines, are known as static carriers of information. The light installation, resembling a barcode, consists of LED lines with adjustable colours and invites the audience to redesign the code (the information) by altering the colours and the spacing between the lines.
On the one hand, this creates an attractive design. On the other hand, however, the light installation can symbolically encourage people to engage with given and seemingly irrefutable 'information'. It becomes clear how quickly and easily 'information' can be adapted and altered.
