Design as democratic action: participating instead of just watching.

Sanja Zivo breaks with the traditional separation between artist and audience. In this participatory event, people become active designers: using stencils, stamps, and paint, they print their most important human right directly onto a postcard on site – a colorful statement for the wall or a message to the world. This creates a creative symbol for human dignity.

The approach is based on the conviction that art and design possess a democratic power. They invite dialogue, encourage self-reflection, and create shared meaning.

Sanja Zivo understands her projects as open processes: she questions established norms and bring ideas into direct interaction with people to develop something new together. With many years of experience in realizing art, design, and democracy projects – both in public spaces and in schools – Sanja Zivo addresses topics such as human rights, equality, and participation.

Her work ranges from needs analysis and concept development to practical implementation. The most exciting perspectives arise particularly where different disciplines converge. Sanja Zivo stands for openness, authenticity, and a deep respect for both the material and the person she works with. Her driving force is the realization of the unimaginable.
