Riso statt Räumung – Künstlerische Kampfansage gegen Gentrifizierung
riso paradiso OFFM (untot e.V.)
Riso Paradiso is planning an exhibition on urban transformation and gentrification.
Through a collection of risographs, the artists present different perspectives on displacement and transformation in urban spaces. The environmentally friendly risograph technique is used as an artistic medium to capture the diversity and complexity of cityscapes.
The aim of the exhibition is not only to inform visitors but also to encourage reflection on their own living environments through participatory, low-threshold installations.
A companion zine will be published, offering deeper insights into the artists’ creative processes. It includes interviews, essays and additional prints that expand on the themes and foster exchange between artists and audiences. The project seeks to strengthen visitors’ sense of empowerment and invites everyone to actively engage in shaping our living spaces and democracy.
Riso Paradiso OFFM networks within the creative and educational scene. We offer workshops to promote access to the risography printing process. The members Böcker, Hantke, Jalquin, Kronmüller, Lenz, Rödel, Terry and Varney are active in the fields of fine art and illustration/graphic design.
