Print now – Riot later
...
The label Print now – Riot later has been at home in the world of screen printing for many years – though only recently in its new glass-fronted workshop right in the heart of Frankfurt. Close to the Kleinmarkthalle and other attractions such as the Cathedral and the Römer, surrounded by numerous galleries, museums and little shops, the label has found a lovely new home.
Reviving an old craft has always been close to the hearts of the team, and now they can do so in full view of the public thanks to a huge shop window: the premises serve as both a display and sales area, a printing workshop, a workshop space and a place for print enthusiasts to exchange ideas.
The Print now – Riot later team either designs the patterns that find their way onto fabric, paper or other materials ourselves, or they take on commissions. Using the hand screen-printing process, they then produce monochrome or multicoloured editions, and thanks to their large fabric printing table, large-format repeat printing on fabric by the metre is also possible.
Print now – Riot later opens the doors to its brand-new premises on 9 June and looks forward to welcoming you!
Together with Axel Rössler, Ellen Wagner launched various screen-printing projects and, during a five-year stay in Tucson, Arizona, co-founded the screen-printing label Print now – Riot later in 2014, which they now run from Frankfurt.
As well as running their own print workshop, they both teach screen-printing at the HfG Offenbach.
