Marvin Fuchs und Jona Heckmann
A concert that can not only be heard, but also shaped: we influence the music with portraits and spoken statements on democracy.
Even before the musical part begins, visitors are actively involved: portraits are created in a photo setup, accompanied by playfully guided statements on democracy – through questions, quotations or creative sentence beginnings. These statements form the basis for the musical mood.
The ensemble consisting of Jona Heckmann, Oli Leicht, Julia Panzer and Oli Rubow plays freely improvised music and reacts directly to the spoken material. Voices are sampled live, distorted, looped, commented on musically – sometimes in harmony with the content, sometimes as a contrast. The result is an intense interplay of words and sound that moves between jazz and electronic club culture.
Afterwards, participants will receive their portrait by email upon request. The collected statements will be incorporated into a ‘statement wall,’ inspired by campaigns such as the Viva con Agua Water Campaign.
