Places of Democracy. Eine historische und künstlerische Stadterkundung
Together with the population of Offenbach, democratic places are explored and further developed. Residents are asked to share places where democracy takes place or has taken place. Previously unknown places are discovered, familiar ones are named. The educational team develops a city tour based on a selection. This tour is conducted several times.
Immediately afterwards, participants from different generations will work together on art projects inspired by urban democracy. At the same time, artists and designers will get to know the locations. In the spirit of the democratic process, tandems will be formed to develop and produce a work of art for one of the locations. The works of the artists/designers and the results of the art workshops will be exhibited both in the Klingspor Museum and in public spaces. The exhibition's supporting program provides an opportunity to revisit and further develop these ideas.
The project is designed to be accessible and intergenerational. Anyone aged 9 to 99 can take part in city tours, workshops and visits to the exhibition.
