Inspired by historic communal kitchens, andpartnersincrime bring people together to cook, eat, debate and experiment with new, solidarity-based forms of coexistence – as an act of communal care and a living utopia.
The Frankfurter Stadtteilküche (Frankfurt Neighbourhood Kitchen) is a pilot project, a blueprint, a gathering and a living call for a city that cares. Following the logic of ‘productive fiction’, they are already bringing this call to life through public cooking events, demonstrating how collective care work can be redistributed across society and made visible. They are exploring what it would be like if there were a public kitchen in every neighbourhood in Frankfurt.
