The project explores the dynamic interaction between generative AI and human movement. AI acts as an interface that processes knowledge in real time and reinterprets it through creative visual and informational associations.

Choreography serves as a means of communication, translating movement into visual associations. The project is presented in museums across the Rhine-Main region through live performances by the Hessian State Ballet. Visitors can actively influence the design process and co-create the development of visual visions. In this way, AI becomes a creative partner for artistic experimentation and engagement with cultural heritage.

In workshops, dancers from the Hessian State Ballet learn to work with the interactive AI system from the project’s co-lead, Ronja Timmer, and later pass this knowledge on to participants during the performances. Motion Creation Design connects dance, AI, and participatory art, opening up new dialogues on design, society, and democracy.

Movement makes the impact of architectural spaces tangible and reflects their adaptation to human needs. In inclusive workshops, design is experienced as a democratic, collective act in which participation, sensoriality, and dialogue play central roles.

Motion Creation Design is a collaboration between the Hessian State Ballet, the Expanded Media program at Hochschule Darmstadt under Prof. Thorsten Greiner, and museums of the Rhine-Main region such as the Kunsthaus Wiesbaden, alongside the artist collective Motion Sound Creation.
