Learn & Burn

We aim to increase the participation and impact of women* in all processes and decision-making within the design industry and its areas of influence.

We see a need for action both in agency and client contexts, as well as in major decision-making processes that shape our environment and society — today and in the future.

To this end, we engage in dialogue with German and international women’s networks within the design field. Our goal is to learn from one another how to strengthen inclusion and visibility across different areas.

• How are networks organised?
• Where and how do they enhance participation and visibility for women?
• What strategies help in attaining influential positions — and using them sustainably?
• How can we spark impulses for real transformation?

To give this important topic the attention it deserves, a major Learn & Burn event will take place in 2026. As Women of DDC, we will be inviting representatives from international women’s networks in the design industry to Frankfurt in May 2026. Together, we want to learn from each other, develop ideas, and initiate change.

The aim is to discover best practices from the industry, gain inspiration for our own work, raise the visibility of the issue, and amplify its impact across the sector. Furthermore, we intend to foster long-term international networking and strengthen mutual empowerment — because real change is only possible together.
