KlimaKneipe OFFROAD – Durstig nach Veränderung
Verein zur Förderung von Klimagerechtigkeit e.V. in Kooperation mit dem KoalaKollektiv
The KlimaKneipe is an established, accessible event format organized by the Association for the Promotion of Climate Justice (Verein zur Förderung von Klimagerechtigkeit e.V.) in cooperation with the KoalaKollektiv, held five times a year at “Lola Montes” in Frankfurt.
The series aims to carry complex social issues into the broader urban community. The program combines impulse talks by experts in an interview format, open discussions, and the showcasing of local initiatives.
As part of the World Design Capital (WDC) Frankfurt RheinMain 2026, the KlimaKneipe is being further developed as part of a civil society movement. The WDC acts as a strategic and financial partner in this endeavor.
Together, the partners view design not merely as aesthetic, but as a social and ecological task. The events create visibility for local engagement (e.g., urban greening), promote discourse on an equal footing, and build synergies between culture, civil society, and sustainability. In doing so, the KlimaKneipe contributes directly to the WDC 2026 goal of utilizing design as a tool for democratic transformation and citizen activation.
The Verein zur Förderung von Klimagerechtigkeit e.V. is a non-profit organization committed to the socio-ecological transformation of society. The association's purpose is political education and the strengthening of civil society engagement in the fields of climate protection and justice. The association supports local initiatives and creates platforms for networking, discourse, and concrete action to make societal issues tangible at the local level.
