Im Herzen der Stadt – ein Ort erwacht zum Leben

In the heart of Offenbach on the historic Aliceplatz lies an undiscovered architectural gem, brought into public view through a temporary creative intervention – becoming a meeting point, a place to pass time, and an inspiring space for culture and the city.

The iconic building from the 1970s is located on Aliceplatz in the centre of Offenbach and currently offers an unused ground-floor space — full of potential to be temporarily transformed with light, colour, and artistic actions into an inviting, consumption-free place to spend time.

Artists, creatives, and cultural practitioners are invited to help shape this unique location through actions, installations, events, light, and colour. Together, an open space for everyone who wants to rethink and re-experience the city is being created.

The initiators are Stadtwerke Offenbach and GBO Gemeinnützige Baugesellschaft mbH Offenbach. The project is to be developed in close coordination with the City of Offenbach’s Economic Development Department. In addition, participation from the Hochschule für Gestaltung (HfG) and the association “Offenbach Offensiv” is planned. Further partners will be sought during the process to activate the new space.
