Hessischer Staatspreis Universelles Design
November 2026
Hessisches Ministerium der Finanzen
What happens when design is not only beautiful, but also inclusive? When it not only works, but also includes everyone? That´s exactly what the Hessian State Prize for Universal Design is looking for: design that moves everyone – and thus redefines the way we live, work and interact with each other.
This is about ideas that overcome barriers – whether in the digital space, the built environment or everyday life. It is also about projects that show that inclusion is not only a feature, but the basis of good design. Whether through clear typography, flexible usage options or radical simplicity – the award-winning works prove that design has the greatest impact when it leaves no one behind.
Because true creativity is not measured by aesthetics alone, but by who benefits from it. The Hessian State Prize for Universal Design invites you to be part of this movement – and to show how design can make the world a better place for everyone.
Does your project have the potential to rethink inclusion? Then join in and shape the future – together.
Patron is Boris Rhein, Mister President of Hessen.
