Handel als Treffpunkt – Austausch über die Zeiten hinweg

Three artistically designed panels are displayed in retail spaces across Frankfurt. They illustrate how commerce has served—from past to future—as a meeting point for people and ideas.

The project aims to use trade as a space for social interaction to foster public discourse and strengthen democratic development. The panels highlight how commerce and its design have evolved—from historical markets to modern, globally connected trade fairs. The final panel envisions the future of commerce, based on the ideas and visions of local retailers.

Through this traveling exhibition, a broad audience across Frankfurt experiences trade not only as an economic activity but also as a social and cultural meeting point. The intersection of commerce, design, and democratic exchange is central, creating space for discussion and visionary thinking.
