Global Goals Pavillion – Ein Treffpunkt zum Erleben und Diskutieren rund um Nachhaltigkeit
Hochschule Darmstadt
The project is an experiential and educational concept aimed at raising awareness among visitors about the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For this purpose, an exhibition structure is being designed that will travel through the Rhine-Main region in 2026. Through immersive, multisensory experiences (panoramic projections, interactive media, and virtual reality) presented in three differently designed rooms, it will offer deep insights into the principles of the SDGs and demonstrate how innovative technologies and creative solutions can contribute to a more sustainable world.
In the first room, visitors experience the potential negative consequences of failure through an immersive spatial projection. The second room presents the positive effects of successful sustainability efforts, while the third room provides practical guidance and interactive workshops that encourage participants to take action and make tangible contributions toward achieving the SDGs. The rooms will also be available as lecture, workshop, and discussion spaces for other SDG-related projects. The media environments will additionally showcase work by further collaborators.
The project is planned to be installed at various locations in the Rhine-Main region during summer 2026:
Thu, 05 June – Sun, 15 June 2026: Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Darmstadt)
Thu, 03 July – Sun, 20 July 2026: Friedensplatz Darmstadt
Thu, 31 July – Sun, 17 August 2026: e.g., Museum Angewandte Kunst or Main riverbank in Frankfurt
The project team is currently coordinating the exact locations with the municipalities.
