This curated walking tour, organized by the Brückenviertel Trade Association (Gewerbeverein Brückenviertel e.V.), opens the doors to selected design and craft studios throughout the Brückenviertel district, bringing the people behind the work into the spotlight. Visitors move from venue to venue, experiencing creative processes, materials, and artistic philosophies, while engaging in dialogue with the designers and hosts.

Together, the participating studios form a network that showcases the district’s rich diversity—ranging from minimalist product design and fashion to artisanal ceramics, retail, and gastronomy. Each studio represents a distinct ethos, united by a shared commitment to quality, material integrity, and contemporary design.

The walk makes this diversity accessible, translating it into a shared urban experience. It serves as an invitation to encounter design right where it is born—within the rhythm of daily life, amidst the creative process, and through direct interaction with the people who bring it to life.

Aroon Nagersheth is one of the chairpersons of the Brückenviertel Trade Association; join this insider as he guides you through his neighborhood.

We will drop in on shops, workshops, and the local residents who call this district home. We begin at Jens Becker’s, where we’ll enjoy a glass of *Apfelwein* (cider) and learn fascinating details about his unusual varieties and unique production methods. We’ll make a stop at a fashion studio to view their latest collections. Finally, we’ll visit an artist collective, a gallery, and the charming porcelain workshop of Sandra Nitz—tucked away in a courtyard just behind the Brückenspielplatz playground.
