Frankfurt – City of WOW!

Frankfurt – City of WOW! brings Frankfurt's economic history and development over the past 800 years to life in an immersive experience space.

As part of WDC 2026, a former file storage facility at Gutleutstraße 324 will be transformed into a place where visitors can explore Frankfurt's role as a trade fair, trade, finance and innovation hub from medieval trade fair privileges to the present day. With exploratory elements and large-format immersive presentations – ten-metre-high projections on a 1,200 square metre screen – the project combines historical narratives with future perspectives. Frankfurt – City of WOW! shows which economic, logistical and social forces have shaped the city and will continue to do so. The experience centre is designed to last beyond the 2026 design year and could thus contribute to the sustainable development of the urban district on Gutleutstraße.
