Fragen für gelebte Demokratie

The workshop is scheduled to take place at the end of the summer holidays in 2026. It will provide young participants with the space and opportunity to reflect on the culture of political discussion within their own social environment and empower them to contribute their perspectives to public discourse and to take up impulses from others, before developing questions for a new edition of the WDC Edition in a creative process.

The resulting WDC Edition of the Democracy Coasters is intended to initiate conversations in public space. In addition, the young participants can carry the ideas and impulses from the workshop back into their schools and their wider social environments.

Demokratiedeckel e.V. is an initiative of young people dedicated to strengthening democracy. The participants are convinced that democracy thrives on exchange and discourse. To support this, they have designed beer coasters with discussion questions that encourage conversations about democracy and society in everyday situations. These coasters are, for example, a core element of the Drinks for Democracy workshop.
