First serve

For mid-June, we – Clara Fischer, Ilayda Dağlı, Lea Repas und Mina Wellmann – are planning our second collaborative exhibition at Parkside Studios.

Titled "First serve", this exhibition investigates the hidden structures behind the systems we inhabit. It examines "security" as a socially powerful, constructed promise one that is stabilized through material, technical, and social infrastructures.

Through specific artistic positions, we explore the complex tension between security and freedom, as well as the far-reaching consequences of the decisions we make within these frameworks. The works navigate the intersection of subjective decision-making and technological orders ranging from personal choices to the hidden material networks behind AI systems. A central theme of our artistic practice is the question of what the future looks like or what it might become. The goal of "First serve" is to create a discursive exhibition space that makes pressing social issues tangibly and sensually experienceable.
