With FfmJAZZFilm, director Jochen Hasmanis presents a compelling documentary on the history and development of jazz in Frankfurt am Main.

The film combines interviews with key figures of the scene, rare archival footage, concert recordings, and re-enactments into a layered, emotional portrait of the local jazz culture. Historical milestones meet personal stories, creating a vivid picture of Frankfurt’s musical history.

MASSIF CENTRAL, located in the Bethmannhof in Frankfurt am Main, is an urban meeting place that brings together culture, sports, gastronomy, and creative design. It provides a platform for creative minds and cultural exchange and has established itself as a key hub for urban interaction in the heart of the city. An offshoot of MASSIF CENTRAL is MASSIF E, located in the former EKINOS at Hauptwache, which is exclusively available for events.
