Under the motto "WithFrankfurt. WithEurope. With each other.", the City of Europe Frankfurt is organizing the Europe Festival for the fourth time in a row on 9 May 2026. To mark Europe Day, the Römerberg will host the public event from 11am to 9pm showcasing how Frankfurt shapes and celebrates Europe every day.
From 11:00 to 21:00 on the Römerberg, you can look forward to:
- a programme with varied stage performances of European music
- a "European marketplace", with information stands of the EU institutions, associations and initiatives on European political, cultural and social topics
- a "debate pavilion" to get into dialogue with each other on current European topics
- culinary specialties from different regions of Europe
- a wide range of interactive activities, including a "Craft Area"
- activities for children
In addition, from May 9-25, 2026, the Römerhallen will host the exhibition „Dein Europa: Recht, Respekt – Realität?!“ (in English: "Your Europe: rights, respect - reality?!"). It shows the artworks of the Hessian prizewinners of the 73. Europäischen Wettbewerb, the largest and oldest school competition on Europe in Germany.
Accessibility of the event: The event will be accompanied by sign language interpreters. If you have any further support needs, please contact us at europa@stadt-frankfurt.de.
The event is organized by the EU Affairs Unit of the City of Frankfurt, but would not be possible with numerous partners. The organisers would therefore particularly like to thank Tourismus+Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main and the voluntary commitment of the EU Network Frankfurt for their support in organizing and staging the festival.
