Ein Platz für alle

In front of Frankfurt's Kleinmarkthalle, there are two large raised beds with trees and neglected undergrowth on either side of the main entrance. This area is currently unused and is often misused as a rubbish bin.

The ‘PLATZ FÜR ALLE’ (SPACE FOR EVERYONE) project aims to transform these vacant spaces into an attractive meeting place. The plan is to install a spacious wooden deck made of local wood, which will span the entire area and provide ample seating for visitors and passers-by. The trees will be preserved and integrated into the concept. The new design will create a much-needed place to rest, especially for older people and those with walking disabilities. Discussions are currently underway with artist Mike Bouchet to enhance this location even further with a sculpture. The goal: a place for people to meet, relax and discuss issues right in the heart of the city.
