Die Straße als Startbahn / The Street as a Runway

In an open construction workshop, residents and visitors collaboratively create flying sculptures that stand as a symbol of unleashed imagination. These sculptures come to life in a parade, where the history and ongoing transformation of the Platensiedlung is performatively narrated through a series of thematic stations.

Lorenza Manfredi, urbanist, engages in planning with local communities. Lorenzo Malloni is artist and designer of the project “CommunitARIA - open school of kite flying”. Caterina Selva, Landscape Architect, researches the street as an ecosystem. Licia Soldavini, Urban Researcher, designs cultural programs.

SaloonY e.V. is a neighbourhood association operating at Platensiedlung with the needs of residents at the centre of their engagement.

Thursday: 19:00 Project regular's table & pizza
Friday: 14:00–18:00 and Saturday: 10:00–18:00 Playful building workshop
Sunday: 10:00–12:00 Grand presentation = street parade, followed by local community festival
