Deine Stimme 26!
FD Kultur Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis / Sabine Stemmler-Heß
Singing is popular, but volunteer work in a choir association or club is on the decline – public spaces for education and community are needed, yet often underused. Over a full weekend, a festival, workshops, and small concerts will showcase new formats and bring the Kurhaus to life.
Together with a professional choir director, a diverse program is created to engage everyone – from seasoned vocalists to beginners just discovering their voice. Across genres and generations, innovative yet tradition-conscious, regardless of native language or financial means: what matters is the joy of singing, exploring the new, and experiencing collective empowerment. Instead of ticket sales, donations will be collected for families and women in need in Bad Schwalbach. This way, the project combines music with social engagement.
Singing promotes health – and this pilot project lays the foundation for transforming the spa town into a “singing city.” In short: it’s about choral singing in new formats, as well as new forms of collaboration, fostering community, empowerment, and a cultural stimulus for the city’s society.
