BEAT BY BITS - AN OPEN-AIR VERSION OF 16BIT

BEAT BY BITS (BBB) is a dance performance in public spaces across Frankfurt. It tackles the social and political meanings of techno, using a dynamic blend of sound, colour and movement to make these meanings perceptible.

The project is aimed particularly at people who usually have little contact with theater or dance. By bringing art directly into public spaces, it seeks to create opportunities for encounters between people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.

At the same time, the local art scene is strengthened by involving dancers and artists from the region.

After the performance, everyone is invited to join in: an informal dance session with a DJ will keep the music and good vibes going. The project is realized in collaboration with local art institutions, the participating choreographers and dancers and the City of Frankfurt.
