As part of the WDC 2026 Frankfurt RheinMain, the Bund Deutscher Innenarchitektinnen und Innenarchitekten cordially invites you to the salon evening DETAIL on June 6, 2026, at the Kunstverein Montez in Frankfurt am Main.
DETAIL – A curated photography exhibition of details in interior architecture that show how quality in space is created and why design connects.
June 6, 2026 – Time: from 17:00
Kunstverein Montez, Frankfurt am Main
Music: Jazz Duo Blair / Huber + DJ Set – @ffm.joe Pop-Up
Bar: The Tiny Cup by Sven Riebel
Streetfood & good talks.
The exhibition focuses on interior design planning details – those precise moments in which the quality of a space is decided. On display are photographic works that make material joints, constructive solutions and design transitions visible, thereby directing the gaze to what often recedes into the background in perception.
“Ultimately, it's the total sum of tiny details that makes a work great. From beginning to end, everything has its shades and gradations, there is no fixed scale. There can't be, because sometimes the smallest elements carry the heaviest weight.” — Rick Rubin
The accompanying salon evening is designed as an open format and connects planning, photography, print, music and exchange with and within the interior architecture and design scene.
Look forward to a special evening with the Jazz Duo Blair / Huber and a DJ set by @ffm.joe, an experienced duo with a warm, modern jazz sound, complemented by the DJ who will accompany the evening atmospherically.
The culinary concept is provided by a pop-up bar from The Tiny Cup by Sven Riebel. With over 20 years of experience, Sven Riebel is one of the defining personalities of the Frankfurt and German bar scene. With his bar "The Tiny Cup", he has won multiple awards, including "Bar of the Year" and "Host of the Year" (Mixology Bar Awards 2023). Food trucks in the outdoor area.
The aim of the event is to create a space for dialogue – about the role of interior architecture, about quality in detail and about responsibility in the planning and design process. The event is aimed at a professional audience from interior architecture, architecture and design as well as a design-interested public and all visitors in the context of the World Design Capital.

At the same time, we support the education of emerging talent, accompany early career development, and promote continuous professional growth. As a strong community, we provide a platform for exchange, knowledge transfer, and professional networking—locally, nationally, and internationally.
