On March 27 at 7 PM, we invite you to the opening of the solo exhibition “Blaues Rauschen” featuring works by Julius Bockelt. He is a visual artist, performer, and musician. In his work, he engages with phenomena from nature and physics. From his intensive observations, he develops methods to capture processes that are usually ephemeral and to retrace them within his artistic practice. He draws vibrations, preserves soap bubbles, and photographs cloud formations. The origin of his artistic practice lies in music — more precisely in the superposition of sounds and the interferences that arise from it.

The exhibition “Blaues Rauschen” brings together this universe of artistic creation in a focused presentation of drawings, cloud studies, soap bubbles, and sound. Between the groups of works, resonant spaces unfold around a broader idea — forming a narrative about perception, transience, and the search for knowledge.

Born in Frankfurt am Main in 1986, he lives and works in his hometown. Since 2017, Julius Bockelt has also been a lecturer at the Goldstein Academy. In 2022, he received the Cultural Prize of the Alois Ammerschläger Foundation. His works have been shown, among others, at documenta fifteen in Kassel, Galerie Christian Berst in Paris, Museum Sinclair-Haus in Bad Homburg, Lenbachhaus in Munich, and Museum Folkwang in Essen.
