Audiowalk Hörmal Demokratie

The RheinMain metropolitan region is full of stories about democracy. As part of WDC 2026, Cicero Kommunikations GmbH is developing a low-threshold audio walk with listening stations at locations with a past worth telling.

The aim of the project is to bring democracy to life as something that people are committed to. Examples from the past that took place exactly where the listener is located bring history into the present. This raises awareness that democracy cannot be taken for granted, but is fought for and defended by people – both then and now. QR codes in squares, on buildings and other locations can be scanned with your own smartphone to play audio files in versions for children or adults. The user-friendly and aesthetic design of the audio walk highlights the significance of the locations and offers an immersive experience.
