Atlas des Gemeinsamen

The Atlas des Gemeinsamen is a travelling exhibition of the German Werkbund initiated by the Werkbund Bayern in 2023. As a constantly growing collection, the ATLAS showcases exemplary projects from the field of designed environments as examples of communal, cultural, ecological, economic and social action.

The exhibition represents a cross-section of the disciplines within the German Werkbund. It has been shown in Munich, Nuremberg, Dresden and Berlin, among other places, and presents the projects in poster form.

In March/April 2026, the ATLAS DES GEMEINSAMEN will be on display as an exhibition at the Zentrum Baukultur Rheinland-Pfalz in Mainz. Accompanying discussion formats are also planned, organised by the Werkbünde Rheinland-Pfalz and Hessen together with the Zentrum Baukultur RLP.

As an economic and cultural association, the German Werkbund is committed to the vision of a humane living environment and the preservation of natural resources. Its concept of quality has always included dimensions that go beyond the product, its creation process, design and production conditions, and equally touch on moral, ethical and social thinking and action.
