AN ALLE

Digital spaces are gradually becoming part of everyday urban life — yet they are shaped almost exclusively by commercial tech corporations. AN ALLE counters this with an open, web-based AR platform: citizens can place and discover their own digital content for free, without an app and without proprietary systems, anchored to locations in the urban space of Frankfurt, Offenbach and the surrounding area.

The platform sees itself as a work in progress and a democratic theory experiment addressing questions of participation and the relationship between digital and public space. Formats for engagement range from low-threshold contributions via smartphone to artistic positions and a collaboration with the Fine Arts department of HfG Offenbach.

Künstler:innenhaus Freitagsküche is an art space in Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel at the intersection of art, mediation and urban space — known for participatory formats. AN ALLE is being developed in cooperation with Maiken Laackmann (Professor of Animation and 3D Moving Image, HSD) and Tobias Still (developer and artist specialising in web-based and immersive technologies) — together they connect artistic practice, research and development.
