360 Global Goals

360 Global Goals is a mobile, immersive 360° projection and workshop format that will tour the Frankfurt RheinMain region in the summer of 2026, bringing the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to life for a wide audience.

At its heart are a walk-in 360° projection environment and virtual reality (VR) experiences in which visitors encounter works on the SDGs. The all-round projections and VR exhibits make global interconnections tangible and immediate – showing both the possible ecological, social and economic consequences of failure and the positive prospects that can arise from determined, collective action.

The programme includes short films and VR experiences produced by students of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Darmstadt). The six projection surfaces are being built as a student construction project in the Department of Architecture. The exhibition is accompanied by participatory workshops – such as the fishbowl panel on 26 August 2026 at the Museum Angewandte Kunst – in which visitors reflect together on what they have experienced, establish local connections and develop concrete opportunities for action. The aim of the project is to turn perception into participation and to reveal the SDGs not only as a global agenda but as a shared local space that can be actively shaped.

The project is planned to be installed at various locations in the Rhine-Main region during summer 2026:

• Thu, 31 July – Sun, 17 August 2026: e.g., Museum Angewandte Kunst or Main riverbank in Frankfurt
• Thu 20 August – Thu, 27 August 2026 WDC Hub Foyer – Museum Angewandte Kunst (Museum of Applied Arts)

The project team is currently coordinating the exact locations with the municipalities.

The team includes several departments of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
